In Portugal it's still not considered an endangered species but if nothing changes it will be endangered soon...
Poisoning is the main threat against this species but the main target are wolves and foxes.
Here is a link to a Portuguese initiative called Programa Antidoto Portugal that does its best to fight the use of poison and educate the populations to the dangers and consequences of its use. (Sorry but the link is only in Portuguese)
